Live A Life That Is Irresistible To Others

Men, this week we’re talking several aspects of living out our faith in the workplace. We’ve already talked about attitude on and about work. We’ve also talked about integrity, the idea of being one-man in all facets of life. The third item I want to talk about is relationships.

There really aren’t many jobs I can think of where you don’t have to be in relationship with other folks. And here’s what I want you to consider. If you are a Christ-follower, seeking to live in a way that honors Jesus, your attitude and your integrity will draw others toward you. Now, some may reject this idea, but I think it’s part of living like Jesus. When you read the gospels, shouldn’t miss the fact that Jesus had an irresistible presence. As a matter of fact, even the folks who didn’t like him made a point to be near him and seek to understand him.

Consider this from Mark, “Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” In this case, folks were looking for Jesus because he had been healing the sick and driving out demons. Friend, I hope you understand that when you seek to live like Jesus, others will recognize the difference in your life and seek you out, in order to get help with life’s challenging issues. My challenge for you today is that you would prayerfully seek to live a life that is irresistible to others.
