Follow Jesus as a Model for Manhood

Hey Guys, this week I’ve been encouraging you to visit our website and check out the opportunities to learn how to use Men’s Fraternity to grow men in your church. You and I both know that there are too many men…in the church…. Who claim the name of Christ but have no idea what it looks like or feels like to live an abundant life in Jesus Christ.

It’s easy to understand why when you take time to see how Jesus is often presented in the church. Too often, Jesus is seen as a weakling, a pushover or a wimp. If you think that’s the case, you need to read your Bible. Jesus was steadfast in his resolve, He never backed down, He confounded scholars with his wisdom and used his physical strength in appropriate ways. The big deal is this, Jesus Christ chose the cross. And He didn’t do it because He wanted to, He did it because it was his Father’s will that He die in my place and yours.

Unfortunately, men are not often presented with a compelling view of Christ as a man who other sturdy men would follow. Men’s Fraternity does that. I want you to know that I follow Jesus because He’s my model for manhood. I’m praying that one hundred groups of men will launch Men’s Fraternity this Fall, and follow Jesus’ as a model for manhood.
