A Clear Image of Manhood

Good morning men. My goal this week has been to take us back to a foundational issue for Noble Warriors and I believe the evangelical church. We need to help men focus in on a clear image of what manhood is all about. Both secular society and the religious world recognize that our culture is suffering because too many men lack a clear, practical vision for manhood. The saddest truth of all is that our churches haven’t done much better than the world in pointing young men in the right direction…when the direction is so clear. Jesus Christ should be our model for manhood.

Remember Ephesians five twenty five… husbands love your wives the way Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Remember Hebrews twelve two… Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shames, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. In each of these passages I see my savior, my model for manhood setting aside his own personal goals and desires to sacrifice for others, including me.
