Noble Notes Challenge ~ May 17, 2010

Jesus: Engaging, Equipping & Encouraging

Good morning men! Every so often, I have to sit back and prayerfully reflect on what God is doing in and through Noble Warriors. It’s wise for each of us to spend some time in prayerful reflection on a regular basis. Each time I do this, I come back to some core realities. A central theme is the fact that Jesus should be our model for manhood. In the gospel accounts of His ministry, I see patterns that I want to follow personally and upon which we base the work of Noble Warriors.

Three strategies jump out at me as I marvel at how Christ moved among great crowds of people preaching to the multitudes, ministering to individuals and preparing the team he would leave behind. He engaged, equipped and encouraged men. I think it’s important to note that Jesus ministered to men, women and children in counter-cultural ways that shocked everyone. But, He built the church that you and I are part of today, by investing in twelve men. And one of them was a dud!

Men, over the next several days, I’m going to give you just a few examples of how I see Jesus, engaging, equipping and encouraging. I think His timeless strategy is worth emulating. Could I challenge you to prayerfully consider how you might engage, equip and encourage others within your sphere of influence?
