“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments…” Psalm 78:4-7
Eric Wallace says this is the verse that has been speaking to him as of late and we can’t think of a verse more fitting for the Founder and President of Uniting Church and Home. He is also another one of our 2019 Fredericksburg Workshop Presenters! Eric’s passion for discipling men is evident in his ministry and love for seeing men motivated by what God has done in the work of Jesus Christ. He will be leading a workshop titled, Hope and Confidence for Parenting Teens.
He says he’s driven to serve and equip men because of “all that God has done for us as men, through Christ, that causes us to serve well as husbands and fathers.”
As a veteran presenter, Eric has already made a huge impact in the lives of conference attendees, including one of Noble Warrior’s own staff members, Matt Newquist.
Before Eric began to disciple men, he himself had to be mentored. He attributes his early discipleship years to Pastor Benton Taylor.
“Ben Taylor helped my wife and I in our struggling early days of marriage and has continued to be a faithful mentor of mine.”
Eric says the man he most hopes to be like in the Bible is the Apostle Paul.
“Though facing trials, he persevered and ministered faithfully because he was compelled by God’s love for him. I strive to be more like Paul in that way.”
Eric’s favorite book to give to others is the Gospel Transformation Bible and he is currently reading Good Leaders ask Great Questions by John Maxwell.
“A hundred years from now all that will matter is the people that I have connected with in such a way that I have added value and meaning to their lives.”
