As a young man just days from joining the U.S. Navy, Chad Williams watched in horror as television news reported the brutal murder of his mentor, a Navy SEAL, in an ambush in Iraq. No one would have blamed Williams if he’d made an immediate career change.

He didn’t.

More committed than ever, Williams himself eventually became a SEAL and spent five years on tours of duty in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iraq.

He saw suffering, courage, death–and he met Jesus.
