The Noble Man Conference in Roanoke is coming up fast! The next workshop highlight in our line-up is none other than the Executive Director of Blue Ridge Christian Counseling, Michael Gembola! He will be leading a workshop titled Finding Refuge and Fighting Sexual Sin.
Michael has served in multiple capacities such as the director of care at his church, part-time seminary professor and as a licensed professional counselor. He also teaches at Blue Ridge Institute for Theological Education (BRITE) in Roanoke, as well as his alma mater, Westminster Seminary where he graduated with Master degrees in Counseling and Biblical Studies.
As an author (check out his book After and Affair: Pursuing Restoration) it’s only fair that Michael would be a reader himself. His most recommended book to others is Liturgy of the Ordinary Sacred Practices in Everyday Life by Tish Harrison Warren. He’s currently reading Rediscovering Humility by Chris Hutchinson.
“It’s reminding me what I need to hear over and over again – the way forward and upward in the Christian life is the way downward in service and sacrificial love.”
