One of my pastors, Joe Tanner, introduced me to this week’s unique podcast guest. Joe and Alex worked together in Central Asia for seven years, where Alex was born and raised. He had never heard the Gospel before age 14 and shares his incredible testimony, as well as a little bit about what men’s ministry is like in his home country.
Alex’s story shows the impact that one faithful man can have on an entire community and what it is like to see your whole family become new creations in Christ. Alex has three preteen sons and “only one wife,” an important distinction to make in his region of the world.
Only .5% of the population in Alex’s country is Christian. As you listen, I hope you’ll meditate on the power and work of the Holy Spirit, not just on this man’s life and those around him but around the globe. Please continue to pray for Alex, his family, and their ongoing ministry.
“I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, ‘Here I am, here I am.’” Isaiah 65:1
