Robin and Lauren Shires have been taking care of the Noble Warriors gear table at our ISI conferences for many years now. This father/daughter team gets it done! We’re so thankful for their faithful service to the NW Mission!
Meet Robin:
How and when did you first get involved with Noble Warriors?
We [wife, Wanda, and daughters, Katie, Lauren, and Natalie] have been involved since the beginning, supporting a good neighbor and a good friend. Since the early stages of NW we have stuffed and labeled envelopes, set up rooms, manned tables, financially supported and been prayer warriors for this organization I strongly believe in.
What is your favorite verse?
I have two verses. In my role as a husband, father, son, and friend, I try to live out 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.” My second verse is about God’s grace upon me as a sinner. Psalms 40: 1-3. “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy outdoor adventures, especially with my family. I also enjoy hunting and fishing.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
If I could have one superpower I would like to be able to flllyyy like Superman!
Meet Lauren:
How and when did you first get involved with Noble Warriors?
My family and I have been involved with Noble Warriors since the beginning. Growing up with the Youngs as our neighbors, we were eager to help pitch in wherever there was a need, whether it be stuffing envelopes for mailings, setting up and breaking down tables for conferences, or selling Noble Warriors gear at many of the Iron Sharpens Iron conferences. I have continuously prayed for this organization and the men they reach. As I have watched this organization grow over the years, I have had the privilege of seeing Noble Warriors affect positive change.
What is your favorite verse?
As I have gone through different stages, my favorite verse has changed over the years. Psalm 46:5 states, “God is within her, she will not fall.” Other versions say, God dwells in that city, it cannot be destroyed; God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; Since God is in her midst, she will not be shaken. God is within her; God dwells in her. As a young woman who graduated college last year, I am living on my own and trying to find my place in a challenging new career. I am surrounded by many challenges as I seek to prove myself. When I struggle or feel broken, I am constantly comforted and find strength in the fact that God is always with me.
What are your hobbies?
I love to bake, watch classic movies, and binge watch crime shows!
What is your favorite donut?
Chocolate covered with sprinkles.
