But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8 8
This is the verse that has been on the heart of our next Noble Man Fredericksburg presenter, Meet Aaron Titko with CRU Military. Aaron is passionate and ready to share the Gospel with military men and will be leading a workshop titled Bootcamp for Military Ministry at this year’s Fredericksburg Conference on March 9th.
“Christ did not call us to be docile men, rather, He called us to be dangerous men, men of action, decisive men. It is through men that the Church grows and expands.”
Aaron remember’s that some of the most memorable times he was discipled was in in the military during Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
“Chaplain Randy Brandt is a key man in my life. He was my chaplain during OIF 2. He came along side me through the crucible of combat, ministered to me through the loss of my soldiers, and later on, mentored me to be strong and bold in my faith.”
Aaron’s favorite book to recommend to people is the Transferable Concepts series from CRU. He’s currently reading unChristian: What a New Generation Really Thinks about Christianity…and Why It Matters by David Kinnaman and Gabe Lyons.
“Regardless of what we think, how we present ourselves as Christians to the World is being done poorly. We must align our actions towards others and our lives to live in Christ. We must demonstrate our love of Christ and our love of others in real and practical ways. When we fail to do this then we present ourselves more as the Pharisees and less as the mighty men of Christ who we are.”
When we asked Aaron who the hero was in his life, he credits his scout master Bob Kraus.
[He] helped form me into the man I am today. Without his guidance and instruction, I would have failed miserably as a man.
At this point in his life, the man in the bible he most identifies with is Cornelious the Centurian.
“He was obedient to Christ and to the mission Christ laid before him. He was a man of great faith who unquestionably took up the challenge God put before him and through him, changed the world.”

“A government (including its military) can be a tremendous blessing to a nation or its greatest curse. The Bible teaches that the purpose of the military is to administer God’s justice (Romans 13:1-4). God desires governments to protect its people from the evil actions of sinful people. It is important for military men and women to walk with God so that they can fulfill God’s intended purpose for their service. God has used the militaries of the world to strategically spread the gospel and accomplish His purposes. In the time of the Roman Empire, Rome would advance its territory by first sending the military to civilize a territory, then they would send in leaders to establish government. By serving in partnership with Chaplains and Churches, we strive to Win the military to Christ, Build believers in their faith, and Send believers out to be God’s hands and feet to the military community. When you put your hands to the plow at Cru Military, you are a significant part of changing lives.” – Aaron Titko
