Is Noble Warriors a Conference Ministry? Yes and No.
I’d love to hear your answer on this. We’ve been hosting men’s conferences for many years. They’re fantastic one-day resources for guys to be surrounded by other men in worship, equipped with resources specific to the issues men face, and still be home for dinner. It’s a powerful day!
So, does it surprise you to hear that Noble Warriors is not primarily a conference ministry?
Conferences are big, visible, and in your face. They create noise in the best way. In most cases, we can do things together at a men’s conference that we cannot do as individual churches. From the outside, people think we are a men’s conference ministry, but they’re only looking at the tip of the iceberg.
What difference does it make?
The real win is what a conference can do for local churches represented by the men who attend – and I don’t want you to sleep on this: our primary purpose with Noble Warriors Conferences is to create a catalytic event where we develop ongoing relationships with men and pastors of local churches and to support them in ministry all year long. They are never alone in what they do for the men of their churches.
This invisible work is the most important part of what we do; men’s conferences make that possible. Without them, men don’t know we are here, ready, willing, and able to provide support.
The Invisible Ministry
I speak with many men who call Noble Warriors to discuss men’s discipleship in their churches. They start with a bang but fizzle out when they don’t know what to do next. It reminds me of those spring-loaded toy cars I had as a kid – do you remember? Pull it back, and it’s off to the races until it bumps into a table leg or runs out of momentum. We want to reach those guys before it fizzles out!
Noble Warriors develops relationships with churches so we can come alongside those men’s ministry leaders, and many of those church partnerships have come from men’s conferences. Visible to the local church, they create the platform and posture for this invisible work.
Cul-De-Sac Ministry
We don’t want men coming out the same way they go in – that’s what we call cul-de-sac ministry. We work with guys we know beforehand to have something planned for their men coming out of the conference. My favorite thing is to talk with a church about their environment and DNA, recruit a team, and train for a men’s discipleship campaign. The men’s conference creates an outlet for establishing relationships with someone they can call for guidance on what to do next and provides tools in the bookstore like BetterMan, Point Man, and Master Builders Bible for Men to help them launch small groups. For ongoing discipleship training, we created discipleship courses like Titus 2 MENtoring and Meet Me at the Fire.
We help men move from events to discipleship. It has a huge downstream impact on men and the local church.
The Noble Warriors Difference
We offer partnership opportunities at conferences because they are crucial to this invisible work. It’s a visible way for people to learn how to help the ministry’s work. Guys who benefit from the conference can give back to the work and other men—pay it forward.
Other ministries host large men’s conferences, but you can’t call them after the big event. They have fulfilled their primary objective—their purpose is to have the event. Ours is to develop relationships, to coach. Guys, you have a resource in Noble Warriors. Your momentum doesn’t need to fizzle.
Noble Warriors exists to help you turn a one-time conference event into ongoing ministry.
Take advantage of both. Use us.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25
