Henry Blackaby pointed out that Isaiah was aware of his sin because the stark difference between his behavior and King Jesus’ example. Look back at the verse… Isaiah confesses his woe, his lostness, his personal uncleanness, and the uncleanness of his surroundings…
‘for I have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!’
Friends, the only way we will have a right view of ourselves is to have a right view of Jesus our holy, righteous, perfect example. And the only way we’ll have that is to spend time with Him through the Word.
It’s a new year. Could I challenge you to make this a year of living in the Word?
The best way to recognize counterfeit currency is to handle the real thing frequently. Let’s immerse ourselves in God’s Truth fully, pursuing true manhood in Christ rather than being fooled by the distractions of our culture.
