Mike Young started the Noble Warriors journey in 2005 when his kids were 9, 6, 4, and 0. As a husband and father, he wanted to put his heart into a ministry that would focus on raising up the next godly generation. From the beginning, the concept of a warrior stuck out to him with the metaphor of the arrow at the forefront.
“I see myself and other men as warriors who must partner with God to craft arrows that are straight, sharp and potent. Arrows that will do damage for the kingdom as they are released.”
With the arrow and the warrior mentality in mind, the search for the modifying word began. As Mike wrestled with several different modifiers, he came across Isaiah 32:8.
But he who is noble plans noble things; and on noble things he stands. Isaiah 32:8
That sealed the deal.
From that point, Noble Warriors was born with the mission to “Engage, Equip, and Encourage” churches to reach and build up men in holiness through discipleship. The team also was able to make the ministry accessable to men who do not yet have families or biological children with the 2 Timothy 2:2 mindset.
And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:2
At Noble Warriors’ 10-year mark, the team moved towards changing the logo slightly with a circular graphic keeping the arrow theme. However they shifted the focus on two new words, “Walk and Lead” with the vision to see all men walk with Christ and lead well and to serve churches as they equip men to walk with Christ and lead well.
The Noble Warriors team is thankful for the journey so far and looks forward to seeing how God will engage, equip, and encourage men in the years to come.
