We would like to introduce to you our next workshop presenter Pastor Shaun Brown! Pastor Shaun is the senior pastor at Coastal Community Church in Yorktown, VA and will be teaching a workshop on being a good follower at The Noble Man Tidewater Conference. As a pastor, Pastor Shaun is passionate about discipleship especially when it comes to equipping men to lead and be good followers.

“I believe men are to be leaders in their homes and churches.”

Just as Shaun will be teaching discipling men at The Noble Man, he was also discipled by several men in his own walk. That journey started relationally and organically with two men, Alastair Geddes and Tony Chester. As for the heroes in his life he gives credit to his dad, youth pastor, and other pastors who lead him over the years. However, the ultimate hero in his life will always be Jesus.

Pastor Shaun’s favorite book to recommend to others is Lectures to my Students by Charles Spurgeon, and the Bible passage that has been speaking to him as of late is Psalm 4. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!     You have given me relief when I was in distress.     Be gracious to me and hear my prayer! O men, how long shall my honor be turned into shame?     How long will you love vain words and seek after lies? Selah But know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself;     the Lord hears when I call to him.
