Why do we need volunteers to help us with our tailgate events?

At Noble Warriors, we believe in creating an atmosphere of fellowship and connection. Our tailgate events are a critical part of this mission, providing an opportunity for men to gather, build relationships, and help us serve meals to attendees at a ministry partner event.   However, none of this can happen without the help of dedicated volunteers. Here’s why your help is vital:
  1. Creating an Inviting Experience – Our volunteers set the tone for each event. From preparing food to setting up, you help create a space where those participating feel valued and welcomed.
  2. Supporting Our Mission – Every tailgate event is more than just food and fellowship.  Our volunteers play a crucial role in helping Noble Warriors continue to engage, equip, and encourage men to lead well.
  3. Building Community – By volunteering, you’re not just serving others—you’re also building meaningful relationships with fellow men who are passionate about making a difference. It’s an opportunity to connect, grow, and serve alongside other like-minded individuals.
  4. Expanding Our Reach – With the help of volunteers you make our team be bigger by providing the human resources needed to deliver a tailgate experience that folks remember.
  5. Chance to Serve and Lead – Volunteering at our tailgate events offers you the chance to practice servant leadership. Whether you’re helping with setup, manning the grill, handing out plates, napkins, utensils or with cleanup you are embodying Christ-like service in a tangible way.

“Tailgates provide a unique opportunity for people to serve others in an exciting way while creating an intentional atmosphere for connection and conversation. The time, energy, and effort it takes to host a tailgate is totally worth it due to the connections — connections with those who are a part of the tailgate team and connections with the people that are being served.

Over the years, our team grew to love serving together and even became named our official “Tailgate Crew.” We even provided them with special shirts with that same branding on them while we hosted the tailgates, which helped identify them as leaders. Since they served together and grew together, they encouraged each other while spurring one another to look out for new people that came to the tailgate to engage in conversations that we prayed would lead to spiritual conversations. Through our tailgate ministry, we have had a few families visit our church and even join our church, but the main focus was always serving the community for the sake of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others.”
