AN EPIC JOURNEY!

A Note from Mike Young, Founder and Director of Noble Warriors-

When I read Isaiah 32:8 twenty years ago, I knew the name of our ministry should be Noble Warriors. God had spoken through His Word. He led us to a strong name and a clear mission. Noble Warriors exists to serve churches as they equip men to walk with Christ and lead well.

2025 marks 20 years of God’s faithful leadership of Noble Warriors. Over these two decades, our team has served pastors and men’s ministry leaders across Virginia and beyond, helping them disciple men. What an epic adventure these past two decades have been!

There is still so much more to do! There are roughly 10,000 churches in Virginia. By 2030, our hope is to connect with each of them and offer help in discipling men. Most have never heard of Noble Warriors. Yet every church would be healthier if more men were discipled to walk with Christ and lead well.

The road to establish a healthy men’s discipleship strategy is different for every church. Churches may move at different speeds or start out at different points. Noble Warriors partners with churches wherever they are on their journey. Here are just a few stories from the road this year.

2025 Stories of Impact

STARTING POINT- Bethel Baptist Church- Yorktown, VA

When Kelley Miles’ deacon term was ending at Bethel Baptist Church, God laid men’s ministry on his heart. At that same time Bethel’s Senior Pastor, Doug Echols, had also been praying for someone in the church to step up to lead in this area. Kelley didn’t have training in men’s ministry, so Pastor Doug introduced him to Noble Warriors. Mike Young Noble Warriors’ founder, helped Kelley create a strategic plan and offered guidance. Now, Kelley, along with other men’s leaders from the church, have launched several men’s groups, hosted a men’s rally, and continue to develop future ministry plans.

Continued Movement- FBC Park Street- Charlottesville, VA

Pastor Rob Pochek, former Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church Park Street, attended a men’s workshop led by Noble Warriors. At the workshop, God called Pastor Rob to make discipling men at his church a priority. Pastor Rob started leading the monthly men’s breakfast at FBC Park Street. On average, fifty men show up to receive a meal, and engage in discipleship. Pastor Rob recently left to fulfill another ministry assignment, but the Church Administrator, Bill Fulkerson, has taken primary responsibility for the breakfast, and FBC Park Street men remain committed to Christ’s mission.

Just over three years ago, Long Hollow Church student ministry leader, Wil Moore, was asked to make a transition to lead the church’s relaunched men’s ministry. David connected Wil with Noble Warriors, Mike Young coached Will andprovided tools and resources that helped to answer many of his questions. EMPOWERING THE ELDERS

Not all in the church are “preachers,” but elders who lead in some aspects of pastoral teaching provide the Pastor with more availability to shepherd the whole congregation. Early in his role as a pastor, Carl Peyton was a “bi-vocational pastor.” He needed help leading his congregation! In this podcast, Carl shares his experience of finding men who are called to lead in a non-traditional role.

Update From the Young family

It’s hard to believe our youngest turns 21 in December! Hannah finishes her senior year in May 2026 and starts her career in nursing. She worked on the mother/baby floor at a local hospital over the summer and LOVED it. Pray as she finishes her nursing practicum and studies for the NCLEX to get her RN license.

We celebrated the marriage of Ben and Madison on May 31st and are blessed by another Daughter to our family! Ben continues his focus on missions and works at his church as a Missions Mobilizer. Madison graduates Southeastern Seminary in December with her masters. They are in Raleigh. Pray for their calling in missions overseas.

Zach promoted last spring and finishes up his last year in Georgia this coming summer. He’s excited to see his high school guys the he’s invested in over the last 3 years graduate in May. Pray for safety at work & his upcoming move.

Tim and Caroline moved to Clarksville, TN. Tim is serving as an Operations Officer in the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. Owen (4) and Liam (2) are loving their new “blue house” complete with an indoor rope-swing. They have found a new church and are enjoying trying new coffee shops in the Clarksville area.

Mike and Stacy spend a lot of time on the road visiting their crew as well as serving at their local church. We love investing in young couples!
