Noble Warriors needs faithful stewards like you to support more pastors who want thriving men’s ministries in the region.
“Any time we partner with Noble Warriors, we’ve seen incredible results.”
Dr. Jamie McClanahan is a huge in-state advocate for men’s discipleship in his church and region. The pastor of Wayne Hills Baptist Church in Waynesboro, VA, connected with Noble Warriors in 2018, and Mike began helping him lay out a groundwork for how to launch men’s ministry.
His zeal for what was happening at Wayne Hills Baptist spread. Now, interdenominational pastors from all over the area, known as the Valley Shepherds, collaborate in friendship, fellowship, and ministry for the greater Kingdom of God.

In November, Mike visited Wayne Hills Baptist to speak to 12 local pastors representing 8 churches at the area-wide men’s discipleship training on prioritizing men’s discipleship in the local church and the pastor’s unique role in effective men’s discipleship.
Pastors Can’t Do It Alone
Jamie wants to challenge pastors and men’s ministry leaders to think deeper and longer about discipling men in their local churches. “Men’s ministry is supposed to be a priority because of what I see in the scriptures. I feel like there’s a biblical mandate to make that an emphasis in the church.”
At the same time, they also need a team to avoid burnout. Pastors need to have skin in the game and set an example. They have a unique role in launching men’s discipleship and providing resources and direction, but one person trying to do it alone leads to burnout. It’s ineffective, and there is no fruitfulness. “It takes Kingdom work to raise a man… it’s Kingdom work.”
The Need is Urgent
Jamie has been coaching soccer in the community for years and worries about what will happen to the many young men without guidance, mentorship, or Kingdom connections.
He sees firsthand the culture creeping into the church and creating confusion.
He sees the rise of porn use among men rendering them empty and ineffective as leaders.
He sees men who don’t know what it means to be a Christian man or understand the unique role God has called men to in the home and the church as a husband, father, or contributing member of the body of Christ.
“If that’s not a priority, a generation is skipped out on who don’t know what it means to be a godly husband, father, leader. That can be dangerous… other people step up who are not spiritually qualified or biblically literate.”
The church and the community suffer if men are not trained to be Christlike.
How We Can Help
“The challenge of intentionally engaging men to grow in Christ together is great.”
Noble Warriors has the privilege of coming alongside pastors like Jamie to support his passion for men’s discipleship and pour fuel on the fire for the men of Wayne Hills Baptist and all the churches represented by the pastors there. To reach a handful of pastors is to reach thousands of men in their churches over the years.
“What (Noble Warriors) is doing is of supreme importance to the local church and the Kingdom of God. Noble Warriors has been a part of Kingdom mentoring.”
As we do the work of making Kingdom investments with pastors like Jamie and churches like Wayne Hills Baptist, God makes it possible through joyful givers like you who partner with us.
When you give, you support more pastors like these men who came together for education and encouragement in growing the men of their respective churches. You are sowing seed to help more local pastors disciple men.
“I am really hoping it is the beginning of a movement in our area for 2024,” says Jamie.
We couldn’t agree more.
Will you join the movement?
Will you help us meet the God-sized goal of $100,000 in end-of-year giving?
Plant a seed.
The harvest is plentiful.
When you serve God through your donations, you SOW SEEDS through your stewardship. THANK YOU for glorifying God in this way as you bless others!
