Dr. Greg Beechaum, Senior Pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church in Powhatan, VA, is devoted to serving his church in every capacity, including joining the men’s choir. He doesn’t even sing, but he goes to be where the men are.
Greg had the blessing of being raised around godly men, but he observed too many men around him who didn’t. Like Timothy, they had godly women, but Greg wants to see men stepping up for the generations behind them.
He shares how he has figured out ways to remove excuses for men of all generations when it comes to engaging in biblical community and how all ages learn from each other regardless of their experience.
“It’s not about how much you know; it’s about how much you want to invest. If you are willing to invest, age may not be so important. Both parties learn.”
Everyone needs to be a mentor and to mentor someone else. It’s a cycle that never ends, no matter how old you get. Listen as they discuss bringing spiritual fathers back to the church and make it a safe place to combat one of Satan’s greatest tricks to shame men – isolation.
